It only took 14 years for my jeep to travel the distance that light travels in one second.

When I was younger I was very fast. I could turn off the light and get in bed before the room was dark.

Technology has advanced. Some of the modern LED bulbs produce very slow light. It takes 1/4-1/2 second after I turn the switch before the room is lit up.

Dang that's close. The actual speed of light is 186,282 MPH. (https://www.space.com/15830-light-speed.html)

Make a few more trips to the store.

No distracted driver laws in Florida?

This photo shows that "Maybe" there should be.

It's a tad bit faster than that, change the Mile Per Hour to Miles Per Second. I figure about 3,600 times faster, but who's counting?

Enjoy the weekend!

the speed of light has it going a distance of approximately seven times around the earth in one second. I can almost wrap my head around that.

The speed of dark must be slower than the speed of light.
