I would like to create a DVD to be watched on TV. Windows 10 does not have movie maker anymore. Do you know of an easy program to use? Also, Do you crop your photos, and if so to what size, to get them ready for a dvd. Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

Do a Google search for Windows Essentials. I have it on Windows 10. They stopped supporting it on Jan 10, 2017, but it is still available if you search.
Movie Maker is part of the package.

Go to the Microsoft Store and search for Movie Maker, or Google it. I use it all the time.
I have Nero for Windows 10, it does a nice job easy to use. I can give copies to friends, they typical have DVD players attacked to tv. Although, external DVD are going the way of vcrs.
Try Pro Show, about $80 from Photodex.com. It's a download. An excellent program to make shows with animated effects plus music, easy learning curve, lots of tutorials and YouTube stuff. You can crop while making a show. Plus other editing options. Publish a finished show to DVD, Blue Ray, USB, social media, or whatever.

There is a variety of free DVD-maker software. Check out download.com and filehippo.com.

I use ProShow Producer, Photodex Corporation. I have used it with individual pictures that I have post processed with Elements 11. Then transfer them to my
ProShow Producer software to create a slide show...adding the transitions that I like, adding a music sound track to my slide show and then burn it to a DVD which I can show on TV or on a large screen using my projector attached to my laptop. I recently purchased a newer Camcorder and am going to try the same thing with video DVD. I am going to learn how to edit my video using Adobe photoshop premiere elements 15 (which has been laying on my desk for over a year). Photodex has some great software. It's not free, but I have been very satisfied with the results.
Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions. I certainly will try them. Next question – Do you crop your photos to any particular size before You put them in the slide program?

Depends on the photo, I usually crop out what I don't want to see. Sometimes even a little Photoshop magic to remove unwanted clutter.
Thank you, I also do the same thing with my photos.
What I meant to ask was, is there a particular size 4×6, 8 x 10, etc. That you should use to create a DVD to be played on a television.
