Long winter days are dreary and I long for spring. Days are brightened by the cheery sight of goldfinch dining on thistle in feeders outside my window. I look forward to robins hop hop hopping across the lawn. In the meantime, I find pleasure looking at a collection of feathered friends in my archives. In every season they can fly! I'm always glad to receive comments and criticisms.

Annie, Thanks for sharing your friends from the archives during this cold and snowy winter. I love the first three because of the lighting adds to the beauty of your fine sharp captures.

Wow!! What beautiful images, Annie! I love trying to "shoot" birds! In a nearby park there's a lovely bird blind where one can sit and shoot as long as they'd like to!

Thank you, Sue. When I was living in my home I was tempted to buy a blind my neighbor had in her garage sale but she was asking more than I could afford. It's nice there's one that's free in a nearby park.
