Last summer we stopped to see the Shoshone on the way back from dropping our eldest daughter off at Idaho State University. This pic, even at a wide angle, can barely capture the beauty of these falls. If you ever find yourself on the freeway near Twin Falls, take the very short diversion. We had an epic snowfall last winter so the falls were in very rare form.
These falls are taller than Niagara. To get a better perspective, look for the house above and to the right of the main falls. Oh, and that "small" building to the left of the falls is a hydroelectric powerhouse.
For those interested, I shot this with a Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 on my Nikon D750.
Very nice shot indeed, hope you didn't have to wait for that rainbow.

Nope, if there's pretty much any sun there's a rainbow.

Beautifully captured! I so wanted to see Shoshone last September when I went as far as Swan Valley en route from Tetons to Yellowstone, but it was just too far off course. You stunning image makes me wish I had stolen an extra day to go there. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful image, Dawson. Looks like a terrific spot.
very nice and very sharp, well done.
You're right, the download is even better. Nice shot.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful image. I need to check that place out.
