Wow - Amazing job - well done!
That is amazing! The original looks totally hopeless. What software did you use?

Thank you!
It's Affinity Photo. Got a full version a while ago for about $40-50. Pretty simple app for most things I need.
I know - the pic shows a lot of artificial light, edges, etc. but being able to save this photo and enjoying the view again is what counts.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks. I'll have to look into that the next time I'm shopping for software. Right now I use Corel Paintshop Pro and AVS Photo Editor depending on what I'm trying to do. i'm a real amateur with either, but I am learning mistake by mistake. I make a lot of backups as I go.

You're welcome!
I use it as a standalone program or as an extension for Photos App on MacBook.
While it's definitely a cool idea to tie these two apps together, it does not always work very well, but IMO this is still pretty neat and inexpensive piece of software for some basic processing of RAW files, comparing to some other ones.

Photos App on MacBook.
I came into the computer age building my own while I worked for IBM. Since I built my own computers and wrote a lot of my own software, I was lost when I encountered the simplicity of Mac's; I couldn't get in there and make them do what I wanted, how I wanted it done. Then came the price!!!!
I got the Corel because I needed to work with layers and liked the idea of merging etc. which the AVS isn't capable of. Fortunately, Affinity works with Windows also.

I hear you! At one point I've been building and fixing computers on side (Win 98 to Vista) and I was laughing at Macs for how limited and expensive they were - like "what you mean Driver for CD ROM cannot be found??" hello??? Then a friend and client of mine let me use his PowerBook or whatever they were called back in 2007 or so and I had to seriously rethink the whole thing and my next laptop happened to be a MacBook. Never looked back since.
I personally don't know anyone who uses Affinity on Windows computer so I can't tell you if there are any differences.
One thing I especially like are their tutorials on Youtube. Simple, short, straight to the point, same guy narrating and showing how to do things.
I do not have much experience with any other popular software so I can't compare it with anything and point out any differences there either, but when it comes to Layers, Stacking, HDR, Affinity does it all.
Very nice, been there hundreds of times.
