New Smyrna Beach has a rich history and one of the places that is partially preserved is the Sugar Mill Ruins. Much of the Coquina blocks used in the construction have been removed by settlers for other buildings, and much of the machinery has also been removed and moved to another location. There is a short Nature Trail in the same location. Comments are always welcome.

Very nice, Jan. I've seen the turn off several times but never stopped. It looks worth exploring.

I didn't see any wildlife on the short Nature Trail, but there were a couple of people making some noise so maybe another time.
