Photoshop problems

Hello
My cloud copy of Photoshop is acting strangly. I am able to open the program and open an image but when I open the drop down under edit and go to mode, for example, nothing is happening. Everything is greyed out and nothing will open. Only the layers drop down will open. Additionally, Photoshop won't close. I have to reboot the computer to close it. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Larz

Can you minimize the program? Sometime a program won't do anything because a message needs a response, but is hiding behind the actual program.

Thanks Bill,
Up and running. I think it was a wifi issue.

Question, I assume you are talking about Photoshop CC as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud? Then WiFi should not be applicable unless you are loading an image from local network storage or the web. It should not affect the basic operation of the program.

Can you relate the specs on your system? PC/MAC, ram, processor? From what you describe, it seems to be running out of available memory, but I’m only guessing. Have you recently upgraded? Does Lightroom work okay? Just thinking out loud.

System was recently upgade with more RAM and Xenon processor. I'm pretty sure it was my internet connection as all is well now.

He did say it was his Cloud copy of Photoshop. If he was accurate, he does need internet connection.

I'm confused what is the "CLOUD" version of Photoshop?

There is no "cloud" only version of Adobe apps. All Adobe creative apps install a front end on your local system and use the cloud for verification and to provide optional storage of your work. There was, in 2014, a "Streaming Photoshop" being beta tested to the Educational market only, but I could not find any indication that it progressed beyond beta stage. This notice appears on the web page:

Thank you for your interest. At this time, applications for the Project Photoshop Streaming beta program are not being accepted.

Ands, on the FAQ page, Adobe requires a Creative Cloud account in order to participate in the Project Photoshop streaming beta.

It's called Creative Cloud on my computer. Whatever the issue was, it is resolved. Thank everyone for their help.

you are correct. I mistakenly referred to LightRoom Cloud as Photoshop Cloud. Poor labeling on my part.

This is my understanding as well. Thanks for verifying what I believed to be true.
