Ok, is there a valley between the field and the mountain to explain the fog?

Not really a valley, a river runs along the base of the hill in the background and the fog sets in over and above the river and is held in place somewhat by the hill. I attached an old aerial shot that shows the river. The hills in the background curve around and to the right of the river in this shot.

I like the sepia toning. Much more natural looking than if it had been black and white.
