Isn't that the bridge that collapsed in the 1940s? Was it rebuilt?

The original bridge collapsed in 1940–the same year in which it was built.

A few observations on the image: The clouds seem to follow the shape of the bridge. I wonder if this is a result of altered wind patterns caused by the bridge? I also noticed the merge points in the cables—but not in the lower portion of the image. Is this a function of the focal length of the zoom lens used? Was it caused by a slight change in the focal length between the three frames?

I ask for my own education as I am planning several excursions in which I plan to do,some panos—and i have zoom and primes to play with.

Maybe one of the three mods can comment?

Thanks.

The original bridge collapsed in 1940–the same yea... (show quote)

The clouds is part of why it caught my attention, I have no idea why they followed the arc of the bridge, just looks cool though. And yes, you can see the merge points on the cables and if you look below that point and slightly to the right in the water you will see it a little also (go to the download to see it better). I'm pretty sure it's because I was on the back of a moving boat while taking the shots so there was a bit of movement away from the bridge, probably not change in the zoom on the lens.
Let us know how your pano shooting goes.
And thanks for the comments.

Beautiful shot. Love the way the clouds framed the bridge. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see from this view. Mine is usually from the bridges. Interesting about the clouds.😊
