Hello everybody. I hope all are well. I just received a Yashica GSN Electro35 and looking forward to shooting with film. I am looking to buy some used lens for this camera. I would like help in knowing what lens to buy. I sure could use some assistance in this matter. Thank you. Tom M

That camera does not have an interchangale lens. Do you have the battery for it?

Hi:
The Yashica GSN is not an interchangeable lens camera. Yashica did manufacture auxiliary wide angle and telephoto lenses that attach to the 45mm 1.7 fixed lens, but they wee not very good.

I have owned three GSNs and a GL; they are terrific cameras. You can see a pretty good review at kenrockwell.com and info about battery replacement at yashicaguy.com.

The only "lenses " for this non-interchangeable lens rangefinder camera are auxiliary lenses that screw onto the front of the lens. I have some if that is what you want...Here is a link to some on eBay...

If your camera was not received with a manual, try to find a website where you can download one. One good source to check might be Mike Butkus - you can email him at mike@butkus.org. If he has one, he will send you a copy or a link in return for a small contribution. The process is all explained at his website.

As mentioned...... It's not an interchangeable lens and the battery might be difficult to locate a new one. I bought a Yashica Electro 35 on my way home from Vietnam in February 1970 and still have it. I think I paid $50 at the Cam Ranh Bay PX
