Gulls are . . . gulls. Early in the morning, in full shade I took these two consecutive shots of the same gulls. The first appears to have a damaged wing, yet the same wing appears perfectly formed in the second shot. Yes it's too grainy. Yes, the ISO was to high (auto ISO unchecked) F22 1/1000th in shade got a clear shot, except for that right wing. Any idea what else went wrong?
Nothing. Normal flexibility of a bird wing. Not camera/lens/setting related.
If you're asking about the apparent wing differences in the two shots, then I agree with Rongnongno. The dynamics of riffed feathers in fast action often goes unseen, until captured by a fast shutter speed.
Especially gulls are among the best acrobats as they find and battle for mates and food.
By the way, the second gull is named Jonathan.
Thanks. I'll blame it on Jonathan . . .
