Sony rx100m3 barrel distortion

I like this camera a lot. There are a few niggles like the camera shutting down when you retract the viewfinder and the fact that Sony have never issued a fix for it.
That said the only other negative that I can think of is that on occasions dependant on focal length, barrel distortion is very evident.
Lightroom accepts the raw files for import but doesnt recognise the files if you want to automatically correct distortion. Ive searched the internet to no avail trying to find software that will correct the distortion but havnt been able to come up with any program that will work with my mac.
I know in theory it is possible to enter new lens profiles into lightroom but cant figure out how to make that work either.
I was wondering whether anyone out there has a fix they could share.
PS ..I know lightroom allows you to correct distortion manually but Ive found that to be a bit hit and miss too.

I think Sony must think that powering off the camera when the viewfinder is retracted is a feature, not a bug. Would be nice to have a menu option to let the user decide. Google for many discussions about the RX100m3 distortion. My opinion is that distortion is initially so bad that Sony automatically corrects for it, obviously not enough.

DxO PhotoLab will probably do it, but it isn't free for longer than a trial period.

Yeah, I think it's a designed in "niggle". In my memory, it's an instruction on how to close down and turn off the RX100III, in one of the books. I'm still not ready to look for another pocket camera, though.
