Nikon version of Canon T7I?

The T7I is about $800 which is a bit steep for me. Canon had some refurbished for around $550 but I missed out. Looking for something in the $500-$600 range. Have a Canon T3I now and am looking to "move up."

I have nothing against Nikon, being a Nikon shooter, but why switch brands?

Are you planning to get a new kit lens, or could you use the one currently in use??

Add your email to their notify list and you shouldn't miss the next deal. They sold out 6 days ago on the t7i refurbished.

Won't try convincing you of anything, but the Nikon equivalent would be the D5500.

I have very lightly used Canon T7i in mint condition that I am putting on Ebay tonight at 8:00PM PST. Starting bid is going to be $600.00. I am only selling it so I can move up to a Canon 80D. Thanks

You may have to settle for one model lower, if you only want to pay $500-$600. You can get a brand new Canon T6i body only for $649, and with an 18-55mm lens for $699. You'll have to add some extra money to purchase this camera. Or, you can check Canon USA website, and see if a Refurbished one is available for less money. A T6i Rebel, is certainly an upgrade from the T3i you presently own. A Nikon D5500 Refurbished goes for $550 from B&H Photo. Good luck.

Be patient. Refurb deals come and go. The T3i is a fine camera, and the 80D refurb from Canon - full 1 year warranty like new - would be a great upgrade. I still like my T3i, but got a refurb 80D last August. Very happy. There is supposed to be a Canon 90D coming later this year, which may bring the prices closer to your desired range.

Your question however, was about Nikon. The Mountain Man answered your question, but you should take things like lenses, batteries, and other things into account if budget is a major factor. Goofy made an excellent comment. Why change brands? Nikon cameras are excellent, but every brand has pros and cons, and the cost of switching may change the economics.

My recommendation is a refurb 80D from Canon, just keep looking, and buy when the price is right. Your (my) T3i is still one of Canon's best entry level DSLRs, the T6i/T7i is better, and the 80D better still. There are expected to be some new Canon Rebel cameras in the next month or two, which may affect pricing of current models. The 90D will have the same effect on the 80D, but it may be six to nine months.
The Canon Rumors website is a good source for upcoming events.
