These were shot with Fuji ISO 800 film this past summer.
Thank you, I try to capture facial expressions as opposed to folks' backs. It sometimes amazes me what you can catch if you stand there with the camera at your eye watching the scene unfold; its like people don't notice the camera if you don't move. The college students in the second photo however caught me and hammed it up a little. All of these were shot with an EOS-650 and a 28-135mm ultrasonic zoom.
Someone needs to call the authorities for the girl in the background of photo #2. She looks terrified!

Yes she does.
This was a service group from one of the universities in Mississippi who were on holiday as a reward for their hard work, and it looks like she's facing one of the facility advisors. But I don't remember anything dramatic at the time of the photo, so I think its just one of those weird expressions of the moment frozen in time.
But it does add to the drama of the photo; one of the many things I like about it.
