I have enjoying all the recent special effects, but when Carol posted her recent work it reminded of some stuff I just did for my own amusement. Carol gave me license to go as crazy as I want. There is a limit to how far I want to go. Posted are a few shots that may be considered "Painterly". For me it's just fun.

Gary, I agree with Jan, you started off with very well done shots. I think that is an important first step. It looks like you chose several different effects to transform these and you’ve done a great job on them. They make me think of water colors with the flowing lines and colors. I also love the shot of your little friend. She is a great little model!

I'm glad you like the pics. I enjoy getting out and capturing some interesting images, and I have just as much fun in post processing. At times when I don't have anything to do, I fiddle around with some fun edits.

Carol, I believe if you start out with a image you like, additional fun editing will turn out better. I also use some of these tools for more serious editing. Sometimes even a good shot just needs a little help. I'll send you an e-mail tomorrow.

I also like #5. The original exposure had good composition to my eye, but a lot of clutter to clean up. I love post processing, and this one was a challenge.

Annie-Get-your-Gun, I am very pleased you like the post processing collection. I enjoy post processing, even though I'm generally the only one that ever sees them. I take a lot of photographs of my little friend next door. She will be 5 next week. She is always willing to take some pictures.
