Hello all,
I joined as I appreciate this website seems to welcome users of all calibers, and since I want to learn more what better place than that of seasoned photographers that I'm not in competition with. I just last week transitioned from a Sony A55 and Tamron 18-200 to a Canon 7D Mark II with a Canon L 100-400m, and a Canon 18-135 lens.
I want to more forward with any ability I have and to carve out new even though I have some Norwegian blood. My goal is to shoot birds, and wouldn't you know it up here in MN there isn't anything alive (they all met when they saw my camera arrive, it's a conspiracy). Maybe this week's snow storm will provide some cool shots, the weather guess if 8-12 inches, we'll see.
Have a great day!

In order to get back yard bird shots, using a bird feeder is suggested. Nesting areas of water birds is always a good place. Tramping through the woods is usually just good exercise.
Enjoy.
Welcome. The birds will be back. Have fun.

Not sure where you are in Mn but Zax Zim Bog has the most amazing great grey owls, northern hawk owls and many other types of wildlife for photographing. I am travelling there next week from NH just to spend a few days photographing in the bog.
Glad to have you. Welcome.
Welcome to the UHH Scott, enjoy.

If you drive up to Monticello by the power plant there is open water. Ducks, cranes etc.
