I tried all day yesterday to use the 1.4III tele on the 100-400mmL MKII and the 1DX MKII . This was the only frame worth keeping out of about 100 shots. I think I have a bad copy of this converter. Bummer.

Well light is always an issue at f8 and a moving subject, but this lens is spot on with all three bodies until I use the teleconverter. NEVER in focus. I’m in the process of getting a prime and I’ll try with that and see if it’s better. Just disappointed I haven’t had better luck with this.
