I’ve search several national as well as global Nikon websites but have come up short...
Is there anyone here who knows the Nikon OEM part number for the D5300 battery grip?

As far as I know, Nikon never made one. Vello maybe.

I owned the 5300 and was told Nikon does not make a battery grip but I was able to buy an aftermarket grip for the 5300, but do not recall the name
The Nikon D5300 D3300 D3200 and the D3100 all use the same grip. You can find them on ebay however I would look to see if Vello or a similar known 3rd party brand is for sale. I saw [roces in the $20-25 range.
Good luck

I have an aftermarket/off-market one that was ordered from eBay. It has performed flawlessly on my D5300 as has the one I bought years ago for a D80.
Only inconvenience is that it requires a tiny cable to connect the shutter release on the base.
The D5300 can eat up a single battery if you turn on the GPS and really run it down quickly if the WiFi is also on.
