Thanks for looking in. Glad you enjoyed. We were just goofing around with the mallards. Between their natural food in the lake and the snacks the people feed them, they're not going hungry.

Thanks dancers for viewing. Glad you enjoyed. As we fed them (wild bird seed) I noticed them going in and out of the pattern in my post. So I held my camera above them and waited. They were completely oblivious to us, just wanted the seed.

We see these birds regularly Normally when we feed seed to the birds, it total chaos. This one time, they organized themselves into this unique pattern. Haven't seen them do it again. Fortunately, I had a cellphone camera with me to catch the moment.

Before I saw the bills, and because of the title of flower, I thought it was a cluster of milkweed pods that had opened and was showing some fluff.
Then I saw the bills and realized they were ducks. They look like they were hungry.
