Need advice and opinion

I have a chance to buy either a Sony Nex 5N camera or a Sony RX100 (1st edition). Not considering price, which would you suggest as best? I really don't need other suggestions, just asking opinion on those two. Thanks!

The Nex5N is 16 Mp with changeable lenses, the RX100 is 20 Mp with a fixed lens. I had the original RX100, and it was an excellent camera. THe M1 model has a pop up flash, but no viewfinder. Personally, I'd go for the RX100. Images are great and it is a good place to start or use as a walking around always with you camera.

I guess my pick would be the RX100.

RX 100 would be my choice because of it's Image Stabilization, Built in Flash, Improved sensor and LCD Resolution.

The Sony RX100 is an excellent compact camera. It seems though, that Sony comes out with newer models every year. I think the RX100iv is their current model. You can't wrong with any model. The newest model will certainly be the highest priced one.

Also, the RX100 has a lens with more range. It seems quite pocketable (if that is a word).

The latest model of the Sony RX100 is model #5. RX100v. Price new from B&H is $948. Previous models, of course, will be less expensive.
