My Friday morning rant.
Telling jokes where the theme is a minority or identifiable group are unintelligent or are less than socially acceptable is just plain wrong. I don't care if you want to substitute your favorite nationality, they are still unacceptable. If it is wrong to suggest a Black or a Jew would do something, it is just as wrong to suggest a Swede would do it.
The only exception would be Trump supporters. Just because.

I agree with your first paragraph. However, whether intended to be serious or funny, the second is just as wrong.

If I wanted to possibly enjoy one, I would read them.
If I wanted have the option to pee and moan, or stand on a soapbox, I would read them.
If I was truly concerned about being offended then I would not read any of them. I do have choices.

I am sorry (whether I agree or not) that your last comment sidetracked your point, which was really a valid complaint. I, myself, have found so many of the so-called jokes to be terribly gender-biased, really down on women and wives, to such an extent I won't even look at jokes on this forum anymore. It is no loss for me and I just ignore them. But I do find it sad that it is so prevalent on a forum I spend so much time on and otherwise really enjoy.
