Elusive squirrel.
This little guy was on the bird feeder and as I went out to take a picture, he took off and ran up the Hickory tree. It took a minute to spot him again. He was totally in the shadows, but with the help of Lightroom, I was able to pull him out of the dark. He was shot with my Nikon D5500 and 55-300 Nikon AF-S VR at 1/1000 F 5.6 and ISO 100, and heavily cropped.
Great in DL! Your persistence paid off.
Put some food out for them and then you can shoot them for hours. At least that is the way I work it in our back yard. They are fun to shoot.

They are fun Don. Between the pine tree and Hickory tree, they always have food even if I don't put it out. I put out food for the song birds, but you know it is almost impossible to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders. Thanks for looking and commenting.
Cute. I love squirrel photos. I love watching them as well.
