Okay, well after reading this post on UHH by Chris T today, I really felt compelled to write this. I don’t have a problem with him posting his questions every day, as they are not much different than other Hogs ask. My problem is with the way he responds back to people in his quite often obnoxious and condescending manner. Plus, the fact that if you argue with him, don’t agree with him, or tell him he is wrong, he then ignores you, as he did with Hogs today from what I could tell from reading his post today... “There's a common misconception - one needs BOTH a DX Body AND an FX Body ... why?” Anyway, my rant about Chris T is as follows, since I cannot respond to the above mentioned post because I am on his ignore list due to my previously not agreeing with him and telling him he was wrong about something.

BlackRipleyDog, Chaman, PixelStan, and others…… you better watch out or Chris T will put you and anyone else on his ignore list if you don’t agree with everything he says or argue with him. That’s what he did to me and some others because of not agreeing with him, telling him he is wrong, and how idiotic some of the things he says and posts are. I can see all of his idiotic posts as long as I don’t login to UHH. Once I login though I don’t see them anymore. That might be because I ignored him as well as I am sick and tired of the stupidity and nonsense that he writes. The fact that he asks questions about different topics is not that bad. But, when you reply back to him with a response and your response is something that he does not agree with, he will never accept any response or answer you give him. He always ends up further questioning what you wrote by not agreeing with you, telling you that you are wrong, or just giving you a lame ass excuse like “No, don’t think I ever will be, either… too rich for my blood…”. Now tell me, coming from someone who does not like the response he gets from other Hogs because the answer they gave him is not technical enough or doesn’t answer his question the way he wants it answered, what kind of response is that when asked if he uses FF or not. Maybe if he didn’t own 12 other APS-C cameras from four different manufacturers and lenses for those four different brand cameras he claims to own he might have been able to afford to buy a FF camera.

The problem with Chris T is that if something doesn’t make sense to him, he doesn’t care why someone else does something a certain way or owns certain equipment… as in why own and use a FF sensor camera and a crop sensor one. The one common trend with all of Chris T post’s is that he seems to think that his way is the only right way, and quite often his replies back to other Hogs can be quite condescending and obnoxious, if not rude after they have taken the time to read and respond to him.
His argument that “once you've attained 24MP on ANY DSLR - FX or DX - you're better off spending any spare change on better glass ... screw a better body!”. A better body such as the D850 is not just about the increase in MP to 45. The D850 is a lot more camera than just a FF 45MP camera, but obviously Chris T does not realize this… he is only concerned about MP.

Or how about this one… “folks, here - have ALL kinds of rationalizations for having - at least one - in each "format" ... it's interesting to see how people see it ... I see it as a misconception ... others "rationalize" why they need to deal with this "misconception" - the way they do ... If it's only about money ... screw FF! ... if it's NOT about money ... screw DX! ... that's the way I see it! But, others like to straddle the fence ... and drag both feet through the puddles on each side ... It's a game as far as I'm concerned ... see how far you can drag your toes through the puddles before your feet get wet!”. Personally, I think the one whose rationale and misconception about things are screwed up is Chris T… the guy that owns 12 different APS-C cameras from 4 different manufacturers… and how many lenses to go with all those cameras also? Rationalize that and make sense out of it because I certainly don’t and can’t.

Anyway, enough of my rant about Chris T, but I must say, I just couldn’t resist writing it after reading this post and seeing him put other hogs on his ignore list because they don’t agree with him and take issue with the things he says, the same as he did with me. Very childish of him if you ask me. I know that there will be some Hogs that think I am wrong for this post, and that is your right as well as my right to write it.

When Chris starts a post he feels he owns it. I say let him. Nobody is being forced.

He only annoys me when he takes over somebody else's thread and takes it off topic. I called him on it once and he said he didn't care because it wasn't his thread.

His two threads a day don't interfere with other folks posting, so as long as he stays corralled, what's the big deal.

If he keeps putting people who don't agree with him on his ignore list, pretty soon he won't have anyone who can respond to his posts.
Then he will just be whistling in the wind with no one to hear him.

He is on my ignore list, but when I click on the link I get in the email each day, the list of the posts don't say who wrote it, so if I click on a post that turns out to be one he wrote I can read it but not respond to it. And I usually do read his posts to see what he wrote and how it progresses, and when I read enough I close it. But in his post today it started off pretty much on page one or two, and it appears he ignored the Hog or Hogs that weren't agreeing with him. As I said, I don't have a problem with his questions... lots of Hogs ask question. Its his response to other forum members and ignoring people that do not agree with him that rankles me.

If you have been on here any length of time I am sure you have run into other members that come off in similar fashion, but none of them seem to respond like Chris T does. Everyone has their own opinions, but ignoring people and responding to those that don't agree with him is childish.

As I said, I don't have any issues with him posting his questions at all. Its his way of responding back to people and reacting when they don't agree with him. Point is, He always has to be right and others opinions don't seem to matter at all to him.
