On the 80D it is equivalent to a 160mm lens. I have both the 80D and the EF 100 2.8L lens and it's great for macro work and even head shots if you have the room.

I have one on my 7DII. It's great. Are you using it for macro only? It's a nice portrait lens too.

I really like mine on my 77d. You do need space to accommodate indoor shots though, especially if the lens hood is on.

It is on my GAS list. But I don't have it yet.

It is absolutely excellent.
I have this lens and use it on my 10D and 7D.
Works perfectly on both crop bodies is very sharp and I absolutely love the IS for hand held macro shots in the woods.
Also the IS is very handy for general shooting with this lens that is completely lacking with the non-IS versions.

Definitely a good lens to get. I have an 80D and some time ago got the EF-S 60mm macro for my T3i. That is also a very nice lens, but sometimes you have to get a bit close to things which can spook insects and so on. If I was doing again I'd go with the one that you are considering.
