A fascinating and interesting video.
The track bed to me looks very unstable and could do with more ballast and new sleepers.

Brings back backbreaking memories of my time as a car knocker on the Illinois Central RR, setting those heavy frogs is a lot harder than it looks!

I don't think I'd be too comfortable working that close to the chain with all that strain on it, that's a man killer!

I have worked close to both chain and cable. When the chain broke, it just dropped. When the cable broke, it whipped through the trees and I was glad I was on a skidder with protection!
