Sedona. Arizona from the air

My wife and I spent the week before Thanksgiving at our timeshare in Sedona. We have been coming here for many years and I have always wanted to take a helicopter flight to get a unique viewpoint of this beautiful redrock country. This year we just said "we are going to do it!". What a great platform for photography! We went during the golden hour in the afternoon and the lighting could not have been better. Here are a couple of shots from this great experience.

Great photos. I love Sedona but have never seen it from the air. It is now on my bucket list. Mahalo for sharing.

Have a trip booked to this area in March could you please give me an idea about cost and who you flew with?

We flew with an outfit called Guidance Air and highly recommend them. They have new state of the art Robertson helicopters that are air conditioned, equipped with noise cancelling headphones and speak to talk microphones that let you talk with each other and the pilot easily. They also have a larger model in case your party is more than 3 people. Since it was just my wife and myself, we had the smaller model and the cost was $210.00 total. This is for a local area ride of around 15 to 20 minutes. They have other rides of longer duration which cost accordingly. It was one of the most enjoyable flights I have ever had and that is saying a lot when you consider I flew for the Air Force and Continental Airlines for a combined 40 years. Hope you enjoy it.

Yes, the first image really shows it was an aerial, not a land vantage point. Good shot!
