What are your thoughts on the the most comprehensive book on LR?
I want a printed book to mostly cover all the PP steps and tips using LR.
I like the Scott Kelby books and his website tutorials.

I would strongly suggest you explore youtube videos rather than a book initially. Books suck at workflow the reason why you A before B. Dialog much better than prose.

Anthony Morganti's LR tips on facebook are quite good. On the printed side, most comprehensive LR book is Marin Evening's.
I'm a big fan of Scott Kelby's books as well. I have several and refer to them frequently. They've never failed me.
A reference book is a good idea. The common authors are Scott Kelby, Tony Northrup and Martin Evening.
If you don't mind the price, IMHO the most thorough course is from Matt Kloskowski.
Adobe itself has recently enhanced their free training offerings. The latest Lightroom versions have a "Tutorials" choice on the help menu. It takes you to a website with enough to learn Lightroom well.
If you have an earlier version, without the link built in to the Help menu, this is where it goes:

I do not agree, every person is different, to me any book is way, way better than any video, especially for workflow!!! Better let anybody decide for themselves!!
Thanks for all the replies, I always apreciate them. I'll review them and jump in head first.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classroom In a Book, at Amazon and others.

it just takes practice i thk either way.
I really enjoy Scott Kelby's writing and style. A nice addition is Julianne Kost, Adobe Evangelist and Instructor. Her videos are fantastic!

I bought all the reference books mentioned and watched many of the you tube videos. While all the reference books are very good as such, I found them difficult to get beyond chapter 2. The you tube videos were superficial.
What I did instead was go to Lynda.com and there is a 5 hour video course by Jan Kabili on Lightroom classic. It was best of all IMHO.
It is a collection of short videos on almost every LR topic that goes in logical sequential chapters. I set aside one weekend to get through all 5 hours of video and by Monday I was up and running. After I did that, i then referred to Kelby and/or Northrup on an occaional basis.
Lynda.com cost $35 a month but it has a fabulous variety of courses on photography topics (I like Ben Long best of all) and almost anything else you want to learn. To me, very well worth it.
