Outstanding!
Having done workshops in Yosemite and Acadia, I have been considering a trip to Glacier. Were you with a group on on your own? Any thoughts about the trip itself? Any books or other resources that you would recommend as an introduction to Glacier?
nicely done
i am also heading out that way in September. looking forward to it.

Hello Steve,
I went to Glacier on my own, on a motorcycle! What a blast. All I had was a map that showed where all the campsites were (in Glacier I think there are only two, if I remember correctly and I called the park several times beforehand to inquire where the best spots to take a pic were. On one occasion, I talked to one individual who was most helpful. Glacier has the "Road To The Sun" road that cuts through and climbes straight through the mountains. Wow. I drove it three times, once during the day and once before sunrise and once at sunset to take the keeper pics. The sunset pics came out best. The road is very twisty and I used a compass to determine where the sun would rise in planning my shots. I was there in the middle of the week and in the middle of May and it was not too crowded. I imagine it is very busy during the vacation season.
When you are in the park go the speed limit, if you speed you will get a ticket from the Ranger.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Bill
