New Years Day Super Moon

I braved the cold and went down to the beach to try my hand at the moon. The sun had not set before the moon came up and although I wasn't situated correctly to get it coming up from the ocean I did get it coming up from behind Black Point. The sun set a few minutes later and the change in the light was dramatic. There will be another super moon at the end of the month. I''ll try again but really hope its warmer than 9 degrees.

So nice to see when other folks shoot the full moon at sunset, or like I do at sunrise. I love to include landscape in the image, and isn't it fun when you get that first glimpse? And how fast it appears to rise (or set) when so close to the horizon. Enjoyable series, thanks!

Very good series... As Linda says nice to see scenery to get a sense of size..

thank you for your reply Linda. I wish my PP skills were as good as yours, I'm sure a lot more could be pulled out of these. More to learn.

thank you. I agree. Moon shots are nice and some postings here are amazing, but I do like some point of reference in the shot for scale.
