I owned a D90 for over a year before upgrading to my present D7000. The D90 is a great camera.

I use to use my D90 for everything. It's a great camera until your need to use higher ISOs. The quality drops off quite quickly. The D7000 is much better for this, so I use it more than my D90 now days. But you can not beat the mighty D3 for the lower light stuff. It is just a beast to lug around.

I shoot with a D90 and have for the past two years. Have a SB600 flash, a 18-105, a 50mm and a 70-200 lenses along with filters and a tripod. Have taken pictures of everything. Great pictures & resolution. Take everything in RAW except action shots of sports. Use Nikon Capture NX2 for editing everything. Much faster than Photoshop. Have become very comfortable with almost all its capabilities. Just learned how to use the flash remotely off the camera without the cord. Previously had a D50 which I gave to my daughter.

My D90 is permanently welded to my Nikkor 105 macro (practically). Industry-wide, the D90 has been considered the workhorse of the Nikon line-up. I have used Nikon since 1972, and the D90 is my fifth Nikon body. I use a D5000 for general photography, and wish it were another D90 body.

Take a look at my website below.

All Efix info is posted beside each of my photos.

For clarification, a close-up is 1:4 magnification (1/4-life size) up to near 1:1 mag (near life-size). Macro-photography is 1:1 (life-size) up to 10:1 (10x life-size). Micro-photography (aka micrography) is greater than 10:1 mag. 90% of my images are macro-photography.

The O-flash is an attachment on my Nikon SB-600 Speedlight. They are easily availble on eBay for about US$30.

On eBay, sellers will post a chart showing which model O-Flash (based on distance between lens center and flash center) is appropriate for you camera/speedlight combo.

Love my D90 so much, I'm thinking of buying a second one as a backup.
