Hi All
I do hope everyone had fine holidays and that Santa was very kind to everyone. I thought I would add to the good feelings and add another Prairie Sentinel.
Please enjoy and thanks for looking. RBorud

A nice piece of work. I like the combination of b&w (or at least de-saturated) photo with the colour filter overlay, it’s a very artistic mix. Might have faded the bottom left a little more were it mine, which unfortunately it’s not! It would make a nice wall hanging - perhaps at a farmers cafe or road-stop somewhere in the wilds.

I like the shot a lot, but it’s too pink to really suit me.

This is a challenging one because of the color. It's hard for me to accept pink as appropriate for the subject, especially after your more blue-toned and/or somber submissions of similar subjects. To challenge us and make us think about the artist's choices is always a good thing, though!

I'm pleased to see all of these. I think that book is going to be something special. Do let us know when it is done.

Thanks jaymatt, for your like, and I can understand your feeling about color, I simply felt I had not been there before, so I was compelled to explore. RBorud

Linda Thank you for letting me prick your excellent brain just a wee bit. As I have said to another commenter, I had never been there before so I was forced to explore it. Do I like it, well yes I sort of do. As memories of growing up on the western prairies of Minnesota float into my mind, I remember the sunsets and alpenglow of the just right conditions of prairie fires to the west and forest fires to the north and east that could alter for few moments the sunsets of the area. This was in the thirties I must add, they were more frequent then. Then later in life working in emergency medicine, the whole family of pinks and reds took a somewhat different meaning to me. This gives a hint of my presets, I am sure they will differ from many of the viewers. Thanks RBorud

Erich Thank you for your support and your useful comments. This whole project is a collection of 70 images which was sold and turned into a book by people in the elevator business. I no longer control them, and I am sharing them with just other photographers purely because they exist. I do not want to become a bore and show too many to often. Thanks RBorud
