I've read a few post's where posters are happy they finally got a white Christmas...Erie, Pa. is no stranger to snow fall, but I think 30 inches in 3 hours is a bit much.

The largest snowfall in the history of Erie...they must have been really prepared for it.

Eire is a fresh water port on a Great Lake, so should get lots of snow

Having been raised in Michigan I have a one word answer for your question: shovels.

Which brings up a sore subject. When I was in high school we got a blanket of snow, so I went out and started clearing off the driveway. I was getting the job done. I don't know what the problem was, but my Dad came out and told me that I was doing it wrong. Now tell me....how do you shovel snow wrong? I still remember that over 50 years later.

Wrong. You're supposed to shovel snow out of the driveway, not into it!

Parents always have a better way of doing anything. Erie is a nice place to be...in the summertime on the shores of lake Erie.

Well yes they do because they're more experienced. But they should show the better way rather than just criticize.
