I got one as a gift a couple of years ago and while it's a neat idea (even though I'm a long-time Nikon user) I too am concerned about its stability AND the fact that it doesn't have a handle, which limits its utility - for me, and the places I take a mug. So I don't use it much any more.

For those of you who want to give a "lens" gift that has no stability or leaking problems, there's always this: https://www.amazon.com/CraftMaster-LenzCoaster-Interior-coasters-silicone/dp/B0741P4394?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-osx-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B0741P4394 .

Kind of a neat gift! I received the same mug this Christmas. Havenโ€™t tried it yet but wondering if a Keurig coffee will fit. .......George

I have one of those; a simulation of my Nikon f2.8 24-70mm lens. I wish my lens had the same weight and dimensions as the mug!

I have two of these. Great mug for the office! They are less than $10 on eBay, free shipping from China.

I have a couple of them. If you want to have some fun, when a friend comes over say "Hey, check out my new lens" and throw it at them high in the air if possible. The contortions and screams trying to catch it is worth every penny you spent on it!

In reply to the dig from the Nikon, Canon was chosen as camera of choice by the last Olympics. In addition to this cup, a special Canon 70-200mm white lens tumbler was made for all officials and VIPS. I got one of them. A lot of white lenses being viewed among the professional photographer elites photographing the Olympics. Kind of puts Nikon to shame...but maybe their cup leaked.

This always amazes me, the term "chosen".... It is my belief, as is of others, that it is more like who is willing to contribute the most to the coffers of the holders of the event(s). Mind you, I am not saying that they take a "bribe", just what others have said to me when discussing this.

Always wanted one of these but, as others have said, the base looks to unstable for actual use (by me). I only use locking lids (such as is on the Contigo cups). I'll admit it, I can be a klutz.

This is a Lens cup I received for Christmas 2016 from a friend. It is sitting next to the real Canon 24-105 L lens.
