I am tired of the old steel fire pits which rust in two years even when covered so found a more modern double walled stainless steel with air flow from bottom to top that when hot reignites non spent exhaust gasses and makes it smokeless...and much hotter. You can burn almost twice the wood in the same time as the fire is very concentrated. This wood was this fall's wood and not cured or dried either which makes it doubly amazing. Amazon just delivered. the rusty one is the old one that is headed for the landfill. Stainless won't rust so we are happy.

Nice flames shot in daylight on gray day with sony A7 and canon fd 70-210 f4 old film lens....

Awesome! What manufacturer makes this? I was just talking with my son in law this morning about his fire pit. He needs a new one and this looks perfect for his situation.

I bought it on Amazon and I think it is called Double Flame...not inexpensive but works well.

Great shots. Question: what adaptor did you use for that lens. I have A7 and looking for a zoom lens

Check out the Solo Bonfire. I bought one this summer and it's really enjoyable... along with the fact that it uses a small fire to do the job so I don't need to worry about what's left burning overnight. This is their smallest unit... they have two larger ones.

i have a commercial inexpensive adapter for the sony a7 to canon fd lenses and bought several cheaply on ebay...canon fd were the old film lenses. most of the suite are 30 plus years old. I have two f 1.8, f 1.4 50 and 28 mm primes and several zooms out to a good 300 mm. this was shot with an f4.0 70-210 fd 30+ year old canon lens manually and peak focusing. any adapter from the sony to the old manual lenses will work fine just buy for your film lenses..in my case canon. i will attach some of ducks shot today with the same setup from about 25 yards away out the suv window. the old lenses are not autofocus or vr but that was okay with me

That's great. I have an adapter for my Nikon dslr dx lenses but have not used them on the A7. I use the little A7 as my travel camera and my art effect camera as it handles light the way you want it to versus stored algorhythms processing the sensor data onto the card. I guess I could shoot RAW but I find that tedious and don't bother.

I had fun trying to capture the flames and managed it this go around in several ways. Harder to do than you think until you try it is what I found.

The Breeo double flame 22" diameter double walled stainless unit like the smaller Solo firepit unit both have air flows which reburn the exit exhaust and get the maximum fire out of the energy in the wood, reaching up to 1600 F in the Breeo at the top. It also has the advantage when fully going that there is no smoke from the unit, just lots of efficient heat. You can buy small camping stoves like this from Solo and others and cook with twigs literally. It is kind of amazing the tech that the double walled construction and lower entry, upper inside exit of the heated air makes. At any rate I had fun with my camera hand held shooting these with the canon fd 70-210 lens on the adapter to the Sony a7.
