Looking for inexpensive easy to use bridge camera for my wife, just for travel and bird shots she wants it for fun not for serious photography looking along the lines of canonsx 530 or lumix zs60, can find both for under $300.Appreciate any suggestions. She is using her smart phone now and I am use to Rebel t5. Thank you.
Robert Kincaid used a Nikon F.

Either camera should fit her needs, but the compact design of the Lumix ZS60 will be more convenient for travel than the much bulkier Canon SX350.
I am not sure both of the cameras mentioned are P&S or bridge. They are more like P&S to me.
Maybe not true bridge, but having decent zooms and not having to carry extra lenses
Just bought a used Coolpix B700 on ebay for $300 plus $18 shipping. I tested it and then gave it to my wife to wrap as my Christmas present. You can get them used or refurbished for less than $350, or $424 new with free shipping on Amazon. The 24mm-1440mm optical telephoto is pretty awesome, as is the 4K video. The only thing I couldn't get to work was the in camera panorama mode, but I create my panos in Photoshop from overlapping vertical shots, so that did not matter to me. This camera really did amaze me.
Briefly looked at Nikon b500 but they seemed a little bulkier and heavier for travelling, but yours sounds like an awesome camera
Thanks the weight and size is an important consideration
You are welcome. It's light weight and easy to hold handheld at full zoom. I saw some awesome videos on youtube of moon shots with the camera, which sold me on it.

Wind out of my sails!
Just found this if you change your mind. Only red units are left. Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I second the Nikon B700. I bought one for my wife to use on safari. Use it for many other things.
I have the Lumix TZ70 and consider it's a great little camera, I recommend you go for the ZS60 your wife will love it, very compact and will fit into any pocket.
In case you are confused here in the UK these cameras have different model numbers.
canon and sony have 30-60x models that might suit your needs. check for used models.
