Newly wed at 62 years !!!, I have 2 kids and 3 grandkids. I'm already out in the "shed" as we Brits sometimes call our bolthole

About the same here. 61,2 boys and only one Grandchild that is a month old
Erv. And out in the shop with most of my hobbies. :) Janny is pretty good about the things I enjoy. I think this one is her favorite one though. I take pictures of little Harrison and she hangs them on the wall. :)
I have that exact same garden hose setup in my shed!!
Yeah, my wife (god bless her little cotton socks) asks me "are you wasting your time again with your photos? Shouldn't you be doing our tax?!!!!!"
I only have one lens for my little camera - a 28 to 135 is usm that came with it. I love my camera. I love my wife. Bloody hard choice sometimes!!!
Wow! that is quite a setup, very well thought out. When you plan on something you do it right, very impressed

Oh crap!!! What an amazing setup. My setup? The garden hose dripping into the roof gutter and the drips then coming out the downpipe spout which ends at right angles to the ground. I then handheld my camera (canon 50d) set to high iso and used full sunlight. The drops were photographed as they came out of the spout or dripped into a birdbath!!!
lachmap - Wow yourself. What lens did you use and the setting to get these awesome images? I love that you can see through the water bubble.

Thanks.
Um, good question. I only have 1 lens - 28-135 IS USM that came with the 50D. I had it set to as close as possible ie 135mm. It was on high speed shoot ie 6 frames a second (I think). Think I took about 2000 shots to get 3 or 4 that I kept that day. OK had to make sure that I was in full sunlight. Otherwise too much grain. Then I had the ISO set to 2500. It was set to aperture priority f8 (I had read that that is the better f stop but I don't know. Also a larger f would make it too slow.) Then this made the speed automatically to be 1/8000. I also had an exposure bias of -1. Pure luck. Just fiddling really.
