Challenge - Dec. 14 - 16 - Decorated Windows and Doors
It is a good lens. Mine is very old and I bought it second hand but it still works well and takes sharp pictures. I often use my extension tubes with it. Also have rails to pinpoint the focus.
I don't know which carry around lens you use, but very often, when I am out in the field with my 18 - 250 lens and don't want to carry too much equipment with me (almost always carry my tripod) I use the extension tubes as they are very light, inexpensive and also do a great job. If you have never used them the main thing to remember is that you have to zoom in with the lens in order to use it when the extension tubes are on. You can get in very close to your subject to get great macro shots! The frosty window was taken with the extension tubes, hand held as I knew I had to work fast!
P.M. me if you want to see a few photos taken with my macro and/or extension tubes. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Clicker.
P.S. - You have a 100mm Macro lens - what do you think about it?
What a cute door! It fits perfectly Pixbyiniphotos! Hopefully I will get to see that door this winter. We are headed in that direction in Feb.! Have a great day!

This challenge is just for windows and doors. It doesn't necessarily mean just Christmas decorations. Would love to see what you got there though! ......]
This is an older image, but I think it fits the subject of this challenge. Freshly painted door taken at Tortilla Flats, AZ.
Here are a couple for today. (The pix look so underexposed on UHH - perfect on my monitor. Oh well you get the idea.)
Lovely Pat! I bet your neighbor's place would be fun to go through!
I wonder why they look under exposed?
