All my photo's are saved to my pictures folder, simple to move them from there (W-7).

Yes, you can simply move your entire existing library (which is one large file) to new location, and then set that location as default for Photos app. I just recently did that in my MacBook Pro after removing an optical drive and installing 2TB HDD in a bracket that fits right there. No one burns cd's or dvd's anymore anyway... :-) If I find simple instructions how to do it I will post the link in comments...
