The green screen assists on selecting the parts of the image you don't want. Put the background of the scene as the background. Then the layer with the green screen. Using the "magic wand" tool, I think that's what it's called, select the green in the top layer image. That will select all or almost all of that that color. Then mask that area and the background layer will show through.
