Love the first shot. Look like the youngster was really moving! You did a great job catching all the action. Must have been fun!

Thanks. That colt was running straight for me and I just kept on shooting. He actually over-filled my frame on this shot, but I didn't care. Too much. Great fun. I'd have stayed longer, but it was DARK! They actually quit riding when it got dark.

Agreed. But what can you do? Most of the rest of our small group were shooting from the other side of the arena and they had a mountain as background. But that was directly into the sun, so I moved to this side. The mountain showed up as totally dark against that sun. At that time of day there really wasn't any "ideal" background.
