One of my 'rare' photo-journalistic Captures~ *Greetings, Pat... "A most wonderful 'Challenge'-one very close to my heart and soul!" Warmest regards, CyberDave

"Blackbird"

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life,
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
One of my 'rare' photo-journalistic b Captures /b... (show quote)

This is fun - now I can't look at a scene without thinking of a song or movie!

Blue Christmas

Birds -Alfred Hitchcock

How Much is that Doggie in the Window, the one with the waggily tail...

"This old house"-
once knew my children. This old house once knew my wife.
This old house was home and comfort as we fought the storms of life.
This old house once rang with laughter. This old house heard many shouts.
Now she trembles in the darkness when the lightning walks about.
CHORUS:

Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer, ain't a-gonna need this house no more.
Ain't got time to fix the shingles, ain't got time to fix the floor.
Ain't got time to oil the hinges or to mend the window pane,
Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer I'm getting ready to meet the saints.

2. This old house is getting shaky. This old house is getting old.
This old house lets in the rain. This old house lets in the cold.
On my knees I'm getting chilly but I feel no fear nor pain,
'Cause I see an angel peekin' thru a broken window pane.

CHORUS:

3. This old house is afraid of thunder. This old house is afraid of storms.
This old house just groans and trembles when the night wind flings its arms.
This old house is getting feeble. This old house is needin' paint.
Just like me it's tuckered out, but I'm getting ready to meet the saints.

CHORUS:

4. My old hound dog lies a sleepin', he don't know I'm gonna leave.
Else he'd wake up by the fireplace and he'd sit there & howl & grieve.
But my huntin' days are over, ain't gonna hunt the coon no more.
Gabriel done brought in my chariot when the wind blew down the door.

Pat, you're right.... Can't look a single pic that doesn't make me think of a song or movie.
It's kind of like an ear worm. No matter how hard you try, that song just won't get out of your head.
Some bring back old memories though.
Jim Reeves - Hey, hey, hey Snowflake. My pretty little snowflake.
John Denver - Sunshine on my shoulders, makes me happy. Sunshine in my eyes make me cry.

Jim Reeves - Snowflake
Jim Reeves - Snowflake...

John Denver - Sunshine
John Denver - Sunshine...

p4 Jim Reeves is a favorite of my husband's, John Denver - me. Just played them both recently. That is a perfect snowflake you caught.
