This fellow came to visit after sunset but he did treat us to a 'dance' while we watched (click on the download of the second photo for the GIF).

I’m not sure if he was preening or attempting to make an obscene jesture towards me but I had the camera on a tripod so I just let it rip at 10 frames per second and made a GIF out of what resulted. I’ve had a population explosion of pocket gophers that seems to have brought raptors and a pair of Great Horned Owls to the area. Thanks for commenting!
