Simulated Shower

I wanted a shower shot but didn't want model's hair to be messed up. I simulated the shower by shooting through a sheet of plastic that was sprayed with a mixture of water and glycerine to make it look like i was shooting through a glass door/wall into a shower.

I'll give you E for "Effort" and creative thinking, but I don't think it quite worked. The water droplets are all too round and static, whereas a shower would have more running water. Why not shoot through the sheet while the water was actually flowing?

A second problem is that the model's skin is completely dry.

Details, details, details... they make or break the photo.

Spoken like a true photographer. Good observation. I showed it to many non-photographers and not one picked up the dry skin. As for the droplets, they were actually running as you can see by the streaks made by the runs. In a real situation some will and some will not. The steam builds into droplets. The droplets combine and get larger and finally run.

It's a clever idea. I think it served it's purpose. It could pass for a shower door. But I'm not pixel peeping on water droplets.

A turn off for me with any woman is lipstick that is 1) overly bright and 2) that expands the area of the lips. It appears she has done both.
