Red Rocks Park It has the Windstone Arch very photogenic Impossible to find unless you know where it is . It is inside a tunnel inside a rock formation best seen in am. Go into park turn left on dirt road to campground go about 100 yds into slight dip stop and walk right about same distance and explore the various holes in rocks until you find it.
Valley of fire state PARK.
Death Valley lots of photo ops, sand dunes, Eureka Dunes in NW part of park similar to Colorado sand dunes, Devil's Race Track where large boulders have moved across old lake bed, charcoal kilns west side west of Panamint mts, Scotty's castle in north end of park
Bodie State Park in Calif -NEvada border best preserved gold mining town
Mohave National Preserve with Kelso sand dunes and old eatery on railroad near the dunes, Cima Dome remaines of old town and lots of Joshua trees
If you have time Supai, Az with Havasu Water Falls most picturesque water falls in North America according to Back Packer Magazine, Supai is Indian reservation to go in get from Hualsupai (sp?) in Kingman, It is 10 mile hike from end of road or or can go by burro back.
Cathedral Gorge State Park lots of interesting erosions in landscape
Amboy Crater at Amboy, Ca on old US 66 near perfect shpaed lava cone
If you have a few days there are lots of things to see within a few hours of Las Vegas, Nevada.

mistake Windstone Arch is in Valley of Fire State Park same directions

If you haven't been there since 2000 you probably haven't seen the new Hoover bridge. Take the pedestrian walkway and the cross river. Some interesting views and photo ops of dam and river.
