A colony of fruit bats have moved in a couple of blocks from our house. Quite noisy and smelly and there is not much anyone can do as they are "protected"

They are smelly bats they look like they are growing on the trees.I remember when I was in Oz there fruit bats falling out the trees dead because it was so hot in a town called Booner.Nice shots by the way.

If the town was Boonah, just a few hours north of us, actually about 8 hours, then yes it does get hot. We usually stay there on our way to number two son at Gladstone as they have a great club and an airconditioned motel!

I guess Otis just another"not in my backyard" They are supposed to be good for the ecology spreading seeds from one place to another but as you said not too near me!
