I hope to see some interesting shots of all kinds of parents and their "children" -- human and otherwise. I'm sure we'll see some kittens and puppies with their mothers, plus some mares and foals, cows and calves, does and fawns, zoo tigers and cubs, bears and cubs, all kinds of birds and nestlings, ducks and ducklings, geese and goslings, etc. Well, I guess you get the picture (ha, ha)! Maybe we'll see alligator or snake "families"? My three submissions are parents from about 70 years ago. P.S.: Do any plants have families?

The first shot was taken in Paris after WW II and shows three generations of French "gentlemen sailors" in the Luxemburg Gardens on a Sunday. These intricate model sailboats could be family traditions or might be rented from an office by the lake.

The second photo shows a mother with her blind baby. The mother (a friend of ours) was a registered nurse and allowed the photo to be entered in a 1951 LIFE magazine contest for young photographers.

The third photo was a Street Shot on the French Riviera, showing two mothers, evidently of different social levels, passing each other on a broad promemade. There's an interesting tension between the two as they look across at each other.
