Agreed, maybe just use bad cameras... Petri, Miranda, Topcon..oops, I had one of each of those too. Liked them all for different reasons.

Lotus = Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious. But I still want one!

Are they genuine lens as my son has bought me a 'beaker' type container that looks very, very similar.

PLEASE note I am DEFINITELY not suggesting for one milli-second that your example is not a genuine lens, I am just saying I have something very similar that I drink out of.

Yep they are, the blog I found the picture on gives you instructions on how to turn your broken lenses into planters. These are not the coffee cup lenses, those are 100% fake.

But the fake ones are dishwasher safe...or so they say.
Thanks for the link.

Thanks and here is my cheap and cheerful mug.. No handle on it and from a distance it looks quite the part. It is the correct scale for that lens.

An EFS lens? How can you get full-bodied flavor out of a cropped sensor lens? Maybe for espresso.
Looks pretty real. Imagine the thoughts of a thief, when realizing what he has stolen.

I had two RB's and loved them. I wouldn't mind seeing a Bronica done that way. Joke was you needed 5 of those...one to use, one as a backup, one going to repair, one in repair and one coming back from repair. Kind of like a Fiat.

Is it bad that I kind of want a Fiat? They are cute.

Cute is great if you value looks over substance.

I like this and the flowerpots and lamps - it is as if cameras and their accouterments are now part and parcel of the world, no longer recording it at a distance...

I have a lens mug, given to me as a goofy Christmas present by my husband, since I have Canon. "Lens hood" is the lid. Only trouble is, makes my tea smell of plastic...

"Canon" 28-135mm mug
