If I was looking for a 32" monitor for my desktop computer. Why not a 32" 4K TV?
Actually 32" 4K TV is hard to find but that's aside the TV is likely not to calibrate well.

It is more to do with your workload. Monitor displays text better than a TV. The bigger TV's spread the same 'pixels' over a larger area, so close study of 'sharpness' may be harder. I recently 'googled this and that is what I found.
At 4k resolution even a 40” at close range the pixels is still smaller than a 23” 1080p monitor
I use a 29 inch flat panel TV for my PC monitor at work, it works great.
I have a LG 4K TV i use for a computer monitor. It is a 55 inch. Unfortunately its not as good as my Dell monitor or my apple monitor.
When viewing and editing images there is no comparison between the way the color or black and whites are rendered. The standard 4k TV's are just not there yet for doing photographs. The 4K tV is great for online trading(I need a lot of real estate for that) It also works great for youtube videos as well as general surfing where you are not dealing with fixed images.
Now that OLED is hitting the mainsteam the color representation will likely become much better. It has supposed true blacks. Maybe in a few years when the cost comes down, I will give that a try.
For now get a good quality Monitor made for photographic process....or just get a MAC.....
Best wishes.

And 8K is on the way. Should we wait for 16K?

Jerry I meant that I haven’t seen a 32” TV with 4K . The smallest 4K TV I’ve seen is 40”.

Yes, I understand. My TV is for entertainment, not seeing every detail in extreme detail. If 4K TVs become the norm, I'll buy one, but I don't need super high resolution to watch a comedy, mystery, or documentary.

I don't think software has caught up with the 4K craze yet. Complaints about menu text being almost too small to read and no easy fix for that. Just sayin'.
Unless you have a 4k video card, you will not get the result on a 4k tv that you would expect.
I have a Samsung 55" 4K OLED TV set up to use as anything I want to use it for. When I get tired of looking down at the computer monitor I'll switch to the TV and work looking up for awhile. I actually prefer the TV for working with Photoshop, Photo-Paint, Paintshop Pro, CorelDraw, Indesign, and Illustrator because I can get more precise and easier mouse/trackball pointer placements. My only complaint is that I'm out in the boondocks where we still don't have Internet service so I have to rely on a Go Phone hotspot, and using the 4K TV really eats up those GB. I have unlimited GB usage but since Twitler signed his EO several months ago starting the death of net neutrality, as soon as I use 22 GB, AT&T throttles me back so that what used to take 1 second to do suddenly starts taking 10-100 seconds to do, and that often results in a time-out crash. So I kind of don't work on the TV unless I really really need it or it's towards the end of my billing cycle and I have GB to spare still. I also have 30" 4K monitors on all four computers so there's that.
