After many years, the light in our oven stopped lighting. After using a flashlight for a week or so, I bought a pack of two bulbs. I had to be careful not to put my fingers into the live socket, but I finally got the bulb in. Still not lighting. I tried the other bulb, with the same result. Apparently, there is another problem. I didn't see a button on the doorframe, so I'll have to investigate.
Reminds me of the popular(?) joke. How many photographers does it take to change a lightbulb? Now's your chance to come up with a funny answer.
A better question would be, How many UHH members does it take to change a lightbulb.
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to want to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue that it should be moved to the Electrical section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.
Wow. I concur. Except for the miss spelled word and the incorrect numbers. :)
Jerry and Dave, thanks for the great belly laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed this and it is so believable.

Pretty much sums up the "Hog" experience.
Really rings true, doesn't it?

But a photographer would know to use Lightroom.....it would lighten the corners of your oven and adjust the grease colour to match the interior.
29 asking 'Why do you think you need a new light bulb. What can the one you have not do?'
18 saying 'We need more information on the type of light you want to turn on'.
33 advising 'Don't buy a gray market light bulb. Nikon will never repair it'.
16 advising ' Go to a good light bulb store and handle all of the light bulbs'.
12 saying 'Its not the light bulb that counts - it is the person at the switch'.
52 recommending to buy used or reconditioned light bulbs.
12 warning that mirrorless oven light bulbs are the future.
16 claiming that good shades are more important than good light bulbs.
10 recommending renting light bulbs.
12 asserting that full light bulbs are better than crop light bulbs.
10 asserting that cell phone lights will eventually replace oven lights.
8 recommending sending the oven to an authorized service center.
Both lists very apt! Could easily believe that all suppliers in Boston and Phoenix will be taking an early Christmas break! Very good, so apposite!
1 smart ass know it all who will tell you if you don't know how to change the light bulb in the stove, then you should not own that stove.

Definitely check the button on the door frame to make sure it doesn't stick and check your breaker too (could be partially off).
As far as how many it takes?......... well....... just one to hold the bulb while the rest of the world revolves around him.
Now the argument starts about just who that could be..........
