Here are some pictures taken at Turtle Mound in the Canaveral National Seashore. The mound was created by the Timucuan tribe from discarded oyster shells over 1000 years ago. It is currently 50 Ft. tall but has lost about 25 Ft. due to souvenir takers. The park is currently operated by the National Park Service. I have more pictures, but I can only put 10 in a post. I will post more later.

Cool! Thanks SpyderJan for sharing this high point in Florida with us. Is it the highest point in the state? Did you ever take an oyster shell? Be honest!!!!

No Brent, Britton Hill in the panhandle is the highest point in the state at 345 Ft. above sea level. No I never took a shell. There are oyster shells readily available. There are a lot of shell roads around here. Thanks for looking.
Nice story well illustrated!
